Operator and scope
TeamHJD operates the Pixel Pin app and official website. To make a privacy request, use the contact link below to ask for a private contact method without posting personal information publicly. Requests about a GitHub account can also be sent directly to GitHub.
Data handled by the app
The app processes pointer coordinates and nearby pixels in memory to show the magnifier and color values. It has no feature to collect or upload screen image files, typed content, account details, or advertising identifiers. When you copy a color, up to eight recent HEX colors are saved in history.json. Appearance, language, and color format are saved in settings.json. These files are stored on this PC in %LOCALAPPDATA%\PixelPin. An older history file may be imported from %LOCALAPPDATA%\DigitalColorMeter\history.json.
Local retention and deletion
Preferences and recent colors remain on the PC until you clear them or delete the files. Deleting the ZIP or executable alone may leave the data folder behind. Updated builds provide controls in Settings to clear recent colors and restore default preferences. With an older build, close the app and remove the files manually. Clearing recent colors also attempts to remove the legacy history file; a file-access failure is reported. This does not clear the Windows clipboard or clipboard history. Clear those separately in Windows if needed.
Cookies and browser storage
This website itself sets no cookies and includes no advertising or analytics tracking. It saves language as pixelpin.language and sample appearance as pixelpin.previewTheme in localStorage. These values are not used for profiling or sent to a server by the site’s code. They remain until you clear browser data or use Reset website preferences below. Reset also removes the old pixelpin.theme key without touching other sites’ data. The website remains usable with storage blocked, but may not remember preferences.
GitHub Pages and external services
GitHub Pages hosts this website. GitHub states that it logs and stores visitors’ IP addresses for security. This is separate from analytics installed by TeamHJD. GitHub’s policies explain its retention and privacy request process. Downloads and support links lead to GitHub; the TeamHJD link leads to its own website. External services handle information under their own policies.
Support and privacy requests
A GitHub issue may publicly display your account name, message, attachments, and posting time, which GitHub stores. Share only what is needed to explain the problem, and redact personal information, passwords, and payment details from screenshots. Content remains while the issue is retained; removal and visibility are governed by GitHub’s features and policies. TeamHJD currently keeps no separate customer database or marketing list. You may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction through the contact route. We will distinguish actions we can take from requests that must be addressed to GitHub.
Possible future Lemon Squeezy checkout
There is currently no checkout link, Lemon Squeezy script, customer integration, or payment webhook. Before enabling payment, we will distinguish data handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record from order information accessible to TeamHJD. We will update this policy with the actual fields, purposes, legal basis, retention, international processing, and privacy request channels before launch. Possible order fields include email, product, amount, and transaction identifier; these are not currently collected through this site. Never send full card numbers or security codes to TeamHJD. We will not ask for blanket consent to processing details that have not been determined.
Children, marketing, and security
The app and website have no child-directed registration, personal information collection form, or newsletter signup. We do not send marketing emails. Before adding such features, we will address applicable age checks, parental consent, marketing opt-in, and unsubscribe requirements. Local app files rely on your Windows account permissions. Clear your history after using a shared PC.
Policy changes
We will update this policy and its date when purposes, data fields, or external services change. Material changes will be announced in advance, with separate consent where required by law. This policy is available in Korean, English, and Simplified Chinese.
